LADYBUG CRAFTS

Another month and another CHALLENGE at Ladybug crafts and a step closer to Christmas!  Ahhrrr..............

Back to the challenge, this month's challenge is I think an Anything goes challenge and we have been lucky enough to have had the choice of working with several different images from Ladybug Crafts.

I was torn between using one of the delightful Sarah Kay images or the equally cute Rose........ images.  Well I guess on this occasional this glorious stamp from Sarah won through.  (Don't forget to check out the stamps available from Ladybug Crafts along with topping up your crafting supplies).

A little while ago I was having a wonderful time trying out colouring techniques just using one colour or should I say tone on this occasion as black and grey's aren't colours as such!  Anyhow without going in to the in's and out's none of the images got made into cards so it made sense to rekindle this one.

Techniques: Faux border of main image

Medium:
Copics and Pencils

Papers:
Cardcraft papers, Co-ordinations green card, Black cardstock, Silver mirri

Dies used:
Magnolia swirl die, Martha Stewart and McGills leaf punches, Spellbinders label die

Embellishments:
Faux brads, Sentiment, Charm, Pearl embellishment, Various flowers
Best wishes,

PAPERPLAY CHALLENGE

Team B's turn at Paperplay and the challenge is use the slogan "Thanks a Bunch" or to interrupt in any other way.

I had this sweet image from Sarah Kay already coloured some time ago when as I mentioned in a previous post I was into Monochrome.  I must say I know that Crafter's say when creating a card they like to pick papers first to get the colour palette.  Whilst I have done that in the passed I some how feel more relaxed to colour the image and then match the papers afterwards which is what I having been doing lately as I have a number of images coloured awaiting completion.

Techniques:
USED:     Distressing edges - distressing inks

Medium:
Copics and pencils, distressing ink (black soot)

Papers:
Craftworkcards and black card stock

Dies used:
Marianne die (stamp shape), Spellbinders dies (two middle dies), various leaf punches

Embellishments:
Pre-cut heart, flowers, flower brad, Butterflies, faux brad

Best wishes,
